What traumatizing accident did Kevin Owens and another WWE talent suffer a few weeks ago?

A few weeks ago, during WWE Crown Jewel 2024, the superstars and other talents visited Saudi Arabia to perform at the PLE. However, just hours before the main show, Kevin Owens and backstage announcer Cathy Kelley fell victim to a dune buggy accident.

The accident was revealed just hours before the event at the pre-show, and Cathy Kelley even opened up on Twitter. The Prizefighter was also scheduled to face Randy Orton at the PLE, but unfortunately, the match never started.

Recently, while speaking to B4TheBell, Kelly recalled the incident and credited Owens for saving her life. She stated:

He’s been one of my friends for years. I’ve had many conversations with him off camera. We just got into a kind of traumatizing accident when we were in Saudi Arabia when we were in a dune buggy. I kind of credit him for saving my life in that moment. We rolled three and a half times in a dune buggy. He said his initial instinct was to protect me. I was holding onto a safety rail, he was right behind me. We could have gotten much more banged up than we did. We were really lucky that we walked out of it relatively unscathed.”

While he saved his friend Kelly’s life, Kevin Owens rather had another intention for Randy Orton a few weeks ago, when he performed a “banned” piledriver on him. The former Universal Champion is currently in a feud with Orton and Cody Rhodes.

Latest Update On WWE Veteran Randy Orton’s ‘Cervical Injury’

On the November 8th episode of SmackDown, Owens performed a “banned” piledriver move on Randy Orton, to send him out on a stretcher. While Michael Cole hinted Orton suffering a cervical injury on the show, a social media post later cleared all the doubts.

In a social media report, it was noted that Randy Orton was diagnosed with cervical cord neurapraxia. There is currently no timetable for The Viper’s return.

We at Inside The Ropes wish Randy Orton a safe and steady recovery.
