WWE Superstar's Debut Postponed Due To Injury And Surgery

Shortly before WrestleMania, WWE seemed to have secured a major signing in the form of Giulia, who was expected to make her debut at NXT Heatwave. However, a twist of fate altered these plans.

Initially, Giulia agreed to appear for Marigold, a promotion led by former Stardom boss Rossy Ogawa, before heading to NXT. Unfortunately, her debut match for Marigold resulted in a broken wrist, causing upheaval in her scheduled appearances.

In April, reports emerged that WWE aimed for Giulia to debut at Heatwave on July 7th, with intentions for her to compete for one of the women’s titles. However, Dave Meltzer’s update in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter indicated a change of plans. Giulia’s injury will delay her full NXT debut until “later in the year.” According to Meltzer:

Regarding Giulia, she is definitely not wrestling Roxanne Perez on the NXT show on 7/7 in Toronto. She is injured and had surgery on her wrist and won’t be ready by that date. She is coming but not until later in the year. Perez vs. Lola Vice looks to be the match on that show.

This statement seemingly confirms the shift in WWE’s plans for Giulia’s debut, highlighting the impact of her injury on the anticipated timeline.

Will Giulia Wrestle Exclusively For WWE?

It was reported that Giulia may never wrestle exclusively for WWE as it was outlined in her deal that she could also wrestle for the Japanese promotion Marigold.
