Following Money In The Bank in Las Vegas, reports have emerged suggesting that one WWE star on the show is in line for a major push.
At Money In The Bank, Theory emerged victorious in the men’s ladder match despite not being originally scheduled for the bout and losing his WWE United States Championship to Bobby Lashley earlier in the night.
In the women’s ladder match, it was Liv Morgan who claimed the briefcase only to cash it in later in the night on SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey to claim her title in the company.
However, it was a star that wound up on the losing side at Money In The Bank that could be set for a push up the card in WWE, and a push away from his current tag team partner.
On SmackDown ahead of Money In The Bank, The Usos told the Street Profits “there have been rumors you guys haven’t been getting along” which was the first indication that the team of Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford could be heading for a split.
Dave Meltzer spoke on Wrestling Observer Radio where he commented that the line from The Usos coupled with the commentator’s remarks on Ford’s bulked-up physique are pointing to a singles run for Montez Ford. Meltzer added that WWE management “ are very high on him [Ford] right now, especially with his new physique.”
The Street Profits lost to The Usos at Money In The Bank however, there was some controversy as replays showed after the bout that Ford’s shoulder was up when the referee administered the three-count.
