Liv Morgan was recently the victim of a brutal – and perfectly executed! – RKO courtesy of Sonya Deville while on a yacht!
It was recently reported that Liv Morgan had pulled off a brilliantly performed Moonsault, diving off the side of a yacht and into the sea below, but it turns out this wasn’t the only stunt involving the WWE Superstar during her time away.
The former Riott Squad member joined Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, and a few other friends on a yacht ahead of Money in the Bank on Saturday, 2 July. It was on this yacht that Morgan fell victim to an RKO from Sonya Deville, who executed the move with ease.
Sonya snuck up on Liv and emphatically planted her face-first. Both Deville’s execution of the move and Morgan’s selling of the dreaded match-ended must be commended for their shared brilliance:

Liv Morgan is getting ready to compete in her second Money in the Bank ladder match when she enters the 2022 instalment, joined (thus far) by Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez, Lacey Evans, and Alexa Bliss. Sonya Deville, meanwhile, hasn’t competed since Raw’s infamous 16 May broadcast, where she lost to Bliss.
Originally invented by John Laurinaitis, the RKO – or more generally, the Cutter – has become one of the most famous moves in all of pro wrestling. Performed by many in-ring greats over the years, it currently serves as the patented finisher of Randy Orton and Riddle, who has adopted the move to honour his tag team partner.
It’s ‘outta nowhere’ mantra, as evidenced by Sonya Deville in the above video, has contributed towards its longevity and legacy within – and, at times, outwith – pro wrestling.
