WWE SummerSlam 2024 Sets New Domestic Record

The 2024 WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event has made history by becoming the largest attended SummerSlam show in the United States.

According to the latest edition of the “Wrestling Observer Newsletter,” the event drew an impressive crowd of 57,719, a figure WWE officials have touted as accurate. However, WrestleTix reported a slightly lower attendance of 55,858. Dave Meltzer noted:

The show drew a crowd announced at 57,719. Those at WWE claimed this as a real number (for what it’s worth nobody from WWE has ever claimed a number was real to me in a long time), and the WrestleTix number was 55,858. Aside from the 1992 show at Wembley Stadium, it was the largest crowd in SummerSlam history.

Held at the Cleveland Browns Stadium, “The Biggest Party of the Summer” featured a star-studded lineup, including high-profile matches with top talents like Cody Rhodes, Gunther, and CM Punk. One of the most talked-about moments of the night was the surprise return of Roman Reigns, who played a pivotal role in helping Rhodes retain his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa.
