WWE Stars Told Sheamus & Daniel Bryan To ‘Calm Down’ Before WrestleMania 27

AEW Star Reveals Why He Wants To Fight WWE Star Sheamus:

Sheamus has revealed that he was once told to calm down by other top WWE names.

The Irish-born Superstar revealed in a recent interview with Metro that he and Daniel Bryan were so disappointed with being moved to the WrestleMania 27 pre-show that they decided to take matters into their own hands and make a name for themselves with very physical battles inside the squared circle, a decision that saw the pair spoken to backstage afterwards:

“People were telling us, ‘Oh you need to relax, you need to calm down!’ Why? Why would we calm down? To make you feel better? To make you feel better about your match? Because you have to follow us, right?”

‘I remember going for the Brogue, and just half of my foot went through – my left foot went through the middle and top and it spun me upside down. I ended up like a hangman with my leg, I was over on the apron. He just got this kendo stick and he beat the s**t out of my leg! No joke, he beat the crap out of it. It was mental! My ankle was, like, bleeding this size. But we didn’t complain!

‘I hit him just as hard in the ring, we were just two lads trying to break the glass ceiling.’

Sheamus would go on on to explain that some unnamed top talent were livid with the matches between he and Danielson:

‘So I’m having this crazy physical match with D-Bry – me and him, just the chemistry we had and the different styles, the technical high flyer against the big brawler.

‘So you had guys going out afterwards – I’m not gonna tell you who they were, but top guys – and they’re p***ed off with us because they had to follow that. They’re going out doing this tippy-tappy s***e and we’re in there kicking the crap out of each other, marks all over us.’

Who Will Sheamus Face Next?

Sheamus will be in action on SmackDown on 18th August after accepting a challenge from Edge.

The pair have never met in the ring before and with the show emanating from his native Toronto, the ‘Rated R Superstar’ has hand-picked the ‘Celtic Warrior’ as his opponent for what promises to be another hard-hitting bout.
