Two recently released WWE Superstars might have accidentally revealed that they are their way to AEW.

After AEW President Tony Khan announced that a new arrival would be stepping through the ‘Forbidden Door’ on the February 9th episode of Dynamite speculation has been running wild.

A raft of recently released WWE Superstars are now available to appear which has only added the incredible number of rumours.

To add further fuel to the fire, Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux have potentially let slip that they might be on the show.

Appearing at an autograph signing, someone off camera said that the pair were hot commodities and may even pop up in Atlantic City where Dynamite is being held. While Kross raises an eyebrow at the camera, Scarlett says out loud “Oh is that…” before stopping herself going any further and nervously laughing. Kross responds by saying “holy sh*t” multiple times.

On November 4th 2021, both Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux were released from their WWE contracts. Both have recently returned to the ring on the independent scene but remain free agents, leaving the way open for a potential move to AEW.

Another former WWE Superstar linked with a move to AEW is Keith Lee. The former NXT star was also released on November 4th. Furthermore, a recent report claimed that Lee’s switch to AEW was a “done deal.”

Speaking in a new interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Khan stopped short of revealing the identity of the new arrival, but described them as a “huge signing.”

“It’s a huge signing for us. I have created some debate about what it means to open the ‘Forbidden Door,’ and that’s what we are going to do on this show. The fans are going to get a great night of wrestling, and I hope everyone is surprised—and comes back for the matches this sets up.”

It has already been confirmed that the show will see Hangman Adam Page defend his AEW World Championship against Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match.
