FTR might not have appeared in WWE for three years, but it seems that they haven’t been forgotten.
At Elimination Chamber, Edge and Beth Phoenix teamed up to take on Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley in mixed tag team action. Edge and Phoenix have been at war with Judgment Day for a number of months after the Rated R Superstar was unceremoniously kicked out of the group in June.
In Montreal, the two sides renewed hostilities as the crowd made their (very negative) feelings about Domink Mysterio known.
The first portion of the match was marked by a flat-out brawl between Phoenix and Ripley. Dominik attempted to make the difference by throwing in a pair of brass knuckles to “Mami” who blasted Egde but somehow the WWE Hall of Famer got his shoulder up.
Ripley and Phoenix then continued their wild fight on the outside with the veteran getting the upper hand by hitting the Glam-Slam.
Back in the ring Phoenix and Edge delivered The Shatter Machine to shatter the dreams of Finn Balor and score the win.
The Shatter Machine was, and still is used by AEW stars FTR. The duo used the move while performing in WWE as The Revival, before renaming it the Big Rig after moving to AEW as a tribute to Brodie Lee.
It’s no secret that FTR are friends with Edge and Phoenix, having been name-checked while with AEW on WWE television in the past.

FTR Heading Back To WWE?
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are currently enjoying a spell on the sidelines as they recover from a brutal 2022. Harwood has revealed that the pair will be out of the ring until April, which is when their contracts with AEW expire. The star recently hinted that the duo could even return to WWE with a post on social media.
