WWE Star Wants CM Punk In An MMA Fight; Offers Proposal To Dana White

CM Punk UFC

This top WWE star wants CM Punk in an MMA fight.

After parting ways with WWE in 2014, The Second City Saint joined UFC to experience an MMA run. However, after a rather short-lived and disappointing tenure, Punk left the sport and made his pro-wrestling comeback.

Recently, speaking on Outta Pocket, Punk’s arch-nemesis, Seth Rollins, opened up on the prospect of facing the former World Champion inside an octagon. Asking UFC president Dana White to make the fight happen, Rollins said,

“In a MMA fight? Sure, yeah, I would. I’m not going to bust into his locker room backstage and start lighting him up, but if Dana White wanted to book CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins in a first non-UFC fighter vs. non-UFC fighter fight on one of his cards, I’d put on the gloves and give it a go.

It might be the only one I’d do, but if you put me in there with any of the other guys in my weight class, no, I’m out. Dana, if you want to make some money, book it, brother. Give us a few months. Give me a training camp. I feel like I could handle myself. TKO, we’re all under one umbrella now.”

The duo has been involved in a heated rivalry against each other since CM Punk’s 2023 Survivor Series return. While both of them have faced each other a couple of times, they are now scheduled to be in a triple-threat match involving Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41.

Seth Rollins Explains Why He Hates CM Punk More Than Roman Reigns

During an interview on Not Just Football with Cam Heyward, Seth Rollins explained why he hates CM Punk more than Roman Reigns.

“Easily CM Punk. Easily. I have a problem with Roman’s ego and his vision of what a good WWE looks like. I don’t have a problem with him as much as a person. He’s gone through a lot to be part of our organization. Say what you will, but he has sacrificed a lot to help this place grow.

At some point, whether it was Heyman in his ear or his own illusions of grandeur about how big of a star he was or wanted to be, he kind of lost the plot a little bit. Trying to get him to understand a little bit of what we came in here to do 12 years ago is still part of the mission as we begin to pass this company onto the next generation. If everybody wants to be Roman Reigns and nobody shows up for work but four times a year, then we’re not going to have a show to run.

You have to have people who want to be here and put in the work. Getting him to understand that he is maybe not the best influence on the future of the business is difficult.”
