WWE Star Unveils New Finisher During Main Event [VIDEO]

Emma in the 2023 WWE Women's Royal Rumble

Emma made a surprise return to WWE back in October when she answered an open challenge by then-SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

It was the Australian star’s first appearance for the company since 2017 when she lost to Asuka on an episode of Raw.

However, since then she hasn’t wrestled on television regularly, although in more recent months she has teamed up with real-life partner Riddick Moss on-screen. After a spell on SmackDown, the pair were recently drafted to Raw, but neither star is yet to wrestle on the red brand.

Emma was in action at the May 8th Main Event tapings held before Raw where she took on rising NXT star Roxanne Perez. At the taping Emma scored the win, hitting Perez with her new finisher, the Widow’s Peak which was famously used by Victoria.

In the other match at the taping, Akira Tozawa defeated Nathan Frazer.

WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament Kicks Off On Raw

The May 8th episode of Raw was the first night that WWE’s new rosters went into effect following the Draft. The show also featured the launch of the tournament to crown a new World Heavyweight Champion.

In the opening Triple Threat Match, Seth Rollins grabbed the win over Damian Priest and Shinsuke Nakamura, while Finn Balor overcame The Miz and Cody Rhodes in the second match. Although not before Rhodes had been taken out by Brock Lesnar.

In the main event, Rollins pinned Balor to advance to the final at Night of Champions.
