One former WWE Tag Team Champion opened up about possibly facing off against his partner.
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have been linked ever since they came into WWE, being paired together to participate in the 2015 edition of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. While a bitter feud in 2018 led to multiple singles matches against one another, Ciampa and Gargano have been back on the same page again as #DIY for a number of years.
Speaking in a new interview with Gorilla Position, Gargano was asked about the possibility of facing his partner in singles action once again.
“Everyone always asks that. I think it’s always gonna be the question that’s asked of me and Tommaso, whenever we’re teamed up, is when is that going to happen again?
As of right now, speaking in current day, me and Tommaso get along very, very well. I don’t want to say we’re in a different part of our lives, we’re both dads now. So maybe things are a little different for us.”
Johnny Gargano Is Excited About WWE’s Tag Team Division
Continuing, Gargano talked about the future of #DIY and teased that anything is possible as far as a future showdown.
“But I will say, we are incredibly excited about the tag team division, incredibly excited about what the future holds for that, incredibly excited about what the future holds for DIY, and I will always say, you never know what can happen in the future. Obviously, Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, together or against each other, people want to see it, which is a good thing.”
