WWE Star Suffers Injury; Plans For Future Raw Changed

WWE Star Suffers Injury On Raw

Another WWE star is reportedly side-lined with injury following the events that took place on the June 24th episode of Raw.

On the June 17th episode of Raw, both Sheamus and Bron Breakker each explained why they should be next in line to challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship. The match ultimately went to a no-contest when Ludwig Kaiser interfered and was hit with a devastating spear from Breakker as a result.

One week later Breakker was out for revenge as he faced off against Kaiser on Raw. Once again, the match did not have a finish as Sheamus provided interference and was ultimately hit with a spear by Breakker to stand tall. Unfortunately, not everyone involved in the segment walked away unscathed.

As reported by WrestleVotes, Kaiser suffered an injury in his match against Breakker:

Unfortunately I’m hearing Ludwig Kaiser suffered an injury tonight on RAW during his match with Bron Breakker.

In a follow-up report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, it was noted that Kaiser was favouring one of his arms and his side after taking a suplex.

Update: WrestleVotes provided more information on the injury the next day, adding that plans have been changed as a result of the injury as Kaiser was originally booked in the 3-way Money in the Bank qualifier match alongside Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. Due to the injury, Ilja Dragunov was announced for the match on the night:

“Prior to the injury, Ludwig Kaiser was to compete in the MITB qualifier next week vs Sheamus & Drew McIntyre. As shown on RAW, Ilja Dragunov will now be in that spot.”

Unfortunately, the injury announcements continue as a WWE NXT star provided an update.

In a further update, Ludwig Kaiser has detailed the injury suffered.

Championship Match Made Official For WWE Money In The Bank

Later in the show, an irate Breakker confronted General Manager Adam Pearce about the events that transpired before being interrupted by Zayn. The Intercontinental Champion offered Breakker a title match at any time and any place. Breakker responded that he wanted the match at Money in the Bank, which Pearce made official for July 6th in Toronto.

Also on Raw, major stakes were added to Seth Rollins’ match against World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.

Everyone at Inside The Ropes would like to wish Ludwig Kaiser a full and speedy recovery.
