WWE Star Still Holding Out Hope For Evolution 2: “Now Is The Perfect Time”

WWE Star Still Holding Out Hope For Evolution 2:

A top WWE star is still hoping that a second iteration of the Evolution Premium Live Event is still possible.

Back in 2018, WWE presented the first and to this day only all-women’s show Evolution. With the returns on legends Trish Stratus and Lita, a match of the year contender between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey defeating Nikki Bella in the main event, the show was incredibly well-received by the fans.

More than 6 years later and while fans have seen the women’s division given more time for their matches, more championships and headlined WrestleMania twice in 2019 and 2021, there has still yet to be a follow-up to the original show.

While speaking with Adam Barnard of Screen Rant, Bayley noted that with the line-up of talent on the main roster, NXT and in TNA it is the ideal time to put on the sequel:

“That’s even more opportunities for [women’s wrestling] to be showcased, you know? There’s so much more to do, there are so many more goals for us, now we have two more titles we can go after. I’ve been dying for an Evolution 2, and I think now is the perfect time. Bigger than ever, we have more girls than ever. We can have a freaking back-to-back two night show if we wanted to, like WrestleMania. There’s so many girls, so many at NXT, we got this TNA partnership, we got two new titles. What are we doing? Let’s do it!”

More WWE Stars Call For Second Evolution Show

With many of the top stars of today not a part of the first Evolution show, it’s not only the fans who want to see the all-woman’s Premium Live Event make its long-awaited return. During a previous interview, one member of the WWE NXT roster also wanted to see Evolution return and named Bayley as a dream opponent for the show.

Although Perez has yet to face Bayley in a singles match, the two former NXT Women’s Champions will both face Giulia with the title on the line at Vengeance Day on February 15th.
