WWE Star Shoots Down Idea That They Are Randy Orton’s WrestleMania Opponent

WWE Star Looks Back On Infamous Randy Orton Match; Admits

With Kevin Owens sidelined due to a neck injury that requires surgery, Randy Orton currently finds himself without an opponent for WrestleMania 41. As speculation grows over who might step in to face “The Viper,” some fans have pointed to a surprising name, Big E.

During a recent Fanatics Live signing, Big E and fellow WWE star Tyler Breeze discussed the situation, with Breeze hinting at a possible return for the former WWE Champion.

When Big E’s name was brought up as a potential opponent, he quickly shut down the idea.

“Look, I’m not cleared,” he said.

Breeze, however, teased otherwise.

“That’s not what I heard,” he replied. “You don’t know,” Big E shot back, prompting laughter.

Breeze then added that he’d heard rumours of a big comeback, which Big E questioned if Breeze had invented that himself.

Big E has been out of action since March 2022 after suffering a serious neck injury during a match on SmackDown, where he landed awkwardly following a suplex from Ridge Holland. Since then, he’s taken on a non-wrestling role with the company, appearing on panels and special broadcasts.

In his only major on-screen appearance in recent months, Big E was featured on the 2 December 2024 episode of Raw, where he was written out of The New Day storyline. After being criticised by Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston for prioritising his “new life” over the group, Big E walked away, marking a sad and emotional moment for fans.

As WrestleMania approaches, talk of his in-ring return will likely intensify, but for now, Big E remains officially sidelined, leaving Orton’s opponent still a mystery.

Which Night Will Randy Orton’s Rumoured WWE WrestleMania 41 Match Take Place?

It has been reported that despite Randy Orton’s former opponent, Kevin Owens, being sidelined with an injury, Orton will still likely wrestle on WrestleMania Sunday. It was reported that it is very likely that Orton will wrestle on Sunday. This seems the most likely night given how Saturday currently has seven matches scheduled and Sunday only has six.
