Recently-Returned WWE Star Names Seth Rollins & AJ Styles Dream Matches

Seth Rollins Raw

Although he has failed to win World Championship gold in 2022, Seth Rollins has enjoyed a fine run both in and out of the ring.

Rollins was Cody Rhodes’ first opponent when he returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 before having a string of stellar matches against the likes of Matt Riddle, Austin Theory and Bobby Lashley. Interestingly, Rollins could soon have a new challenger.

Johnny Gargano Sets Sights On Match With Seth Rollins

Former NXT star Johnny Gargano returned to WWE on the August 22nd edition of Monday Night Raw. The star had been out of the ring since December 2021 after letting his contract expire. Since returning, Gargano has clashed with Austin Theory, The Miz and Baron Corbin.

During an appearance on the Rocker Morning Show, Gargano has now set his sights on the likes of Seth Rollins and AJ Styles.

“Seth Rollins is a big one. AJ Styles is a big one. I wrestled these guys on the indies already but not on a big stage. And I think having those matches on the big stage are a dream match for a lot of people out there and I think we’ll be able to make that happen one day. But also like, you know, Rey Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, got a lot of guys that I haven’t wrestled yet on RAW and SmackDown on that big arena stage,”

On the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw, Johnny Gargano was joined by Dexter Lumis to give out resents to the crowd.

Meanwhile, in the main event Seth Rollins battled Bobby Lashley for the right to become the number one contender for the United States Championship. Lashley was seemingly closing in when the match fell apart. With Seth Rollins trapped in the Hurt Lock both men tumbled into the referee knocking him out of the ring. The All-Mighty then delivered a Spear to Rollins but there was no one to count the pin-fall. By the time the referee was back in ring Rollins kicked out and hit a Pedigree to score the win.

After the match an irate Lashley went totally off the rails and was “fired” by Adam Pearce. However, just 24-hours later Lashley was reinstated.
