A member of the WWE NXT roster is hoping to win TNA gold at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view on October 24th.
Talent exchanges between both promotions have been occurring throughout the latter half of 2024 with surprise appearances occurring on NXT and Impact. On the October 17th episode of Impact, the latest crossover match was confirmed as NXT star Wendy Choo will team with Rosemary at Bound For Glory to challenge Jody Threat and Dani Luna, known collectively as Spitfire, for the Knockouts Tag Team Championships.
Choo has competed twice on Impact as part of the talent exchange. On September 26th, Choo and Rosemary faced off against Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace NXT star Sol Ruca in a match that went to a no contest. 2 weeks later, Choo Rosemary and Tasha Steelz lost to Grace, Ruca and Masha Slamovich.
Although no more contracted WWE stars have been officially announced, more surprises could occur in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match.
The main event of Bound For Glory will see Joe Hendry challenge Nic Nemeth for the World Championship. Frankie Kazarian will serve as the special guest referee.
WWE Star Believes NXT Return Is Unlikely
Along with TNA stars making surprise appearances on NXT TV, main roster talent have also made the trip to the third brand for either a one off program or an extended run. While some have speculated that a former NXT Champion may make a return to the brand given their previous success, it doesn’t appear to be on the cards.
In other TNA news, Steph De Lander recently underwent neck fusion surgery.
