Following on from reports that the likes of Angel and Humberto are to get their second names back, it appears another WWE Superstars is set to revert to his old moniker.
Over the past few years, WWE has been known to change many of their Superstars’ ring names. In a lot of cases, this involved simply dropping second names.
This was the case for Angel Garza who became simply Angel after dropping his last name when he started teaming up with his cousin Humberto. Both men are reportedly set to receive their second names back in the near future.
A new report from PWInsider has now noted that a high-profile star who also had his first name dropped, Theory, could be set to go back to his old full name.
The report cites local advertisements for this weekend’s live events which list Vince McMahon’s former protege as ‘Austin Theory’.
Despite winning the Money in the Bank contract in July, since Vince McMahon’s recent departure from the company Theory’s status was seen as being in jeopardy.
However, a recent report revealed that the company’s new Head of Creative, Triple H, is high on him and wants to continue building on his ring experience.
