A WWE Superstar experienced a clothing accident at a recent show.
Tony D’Angelo is one of NXT’s most notable stars owing to his unique mafia gimmick. Due to this, he is mostly portraying a serious character, but his stoic nature was put to a halt during a recent WWE house show after experiencing a slight wardrobe malfunction, with his pants getting accidentally ripped.
During WWE NXT’s live event at the Melbourne Auditorium in Melbourne, Florida, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo was in action to defend the Heritage Cup against Dante Chen. After the bout, Stacks was supposed to take off D’Angelo’s name from the Heritage Cup, but The Don made a shocking appearance to prevent this from happening.
The mishap occurred when Tony D’Angelo ran down to the ring to chase Stacks. Unfortunately, when he was entering the ring, his pants split.

WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi Wants To Defend His Title Against Tony D’Angelo
Although D’Angelo still has his eyes on Lorenzo, WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi has issued a challenge to him about a potential title match.
On WFLA News Channel 8, Oba Femi shared that there are no threats left for him, unless the company sources out to TNA or the main roster. However, after losing to Tony D’Angelo last year for the North American Title, the champion thinks he will be a viable challenger.
“When it comes to true threats to my title and position, there’s not many left. Unless we outsource to TNA or we outsource to the main roster and find someone who is worthy to challenge. But based on story and sequential occurences, I do have a loss to Tony D’Angelo. He took the North American Championship off of me last year around October. So if I was the booker, that would be the match to make, because he’s the last person to pin Oba Femi clean 1-2-3. But I know I can easily defeat Tony if I really wanted to.” [H/T Fightful]
It remains to be seen what is next for Tony D’Angelo in WWE NXT.
