WWE Star Rey Mysterio Details How Much Longer He Intends To Wrestle

Rey Mysterio has addressed how much longer he thinks he can still wrestle in WWE.

Turning 50 in December, the Hall of Famer still shows no signs of slowing down as he continually competes on a full-time schedule and puts on exciting matches each night. However, with 35 years of wear and tear on his body from being inside the ring, Mysterio is very aware that the amount of matches he has left is extremely limited. Having achieved just about every goal there is to achieve in WWE and with a legacy as one of the greatest of all time, few would blame Mysterio for calling time on his in-ring career.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Mysterio admitted that although he has no concrete date in mind for when he will officially retire his quality of life after professional wrestling is something that he is regularly taking into consideration:

“I don’t until it’s being brought up and when my wife brings that up, that’s when I pause. I don’t know if I want to do it another two years, three years. I kind of listen to my body and my mindset, because my body’s been feeling great with all the benefits that I get from doing like the cold plunge and the sauna.

Overall, my mind has to be in the right place, so that’s probably the hardest thing for me. Because sometimes the age factor comes into mind and not in the moment, but thinking ahead like I want to be able to still move around and walk at 55 or 56. Is my body going to feel the same? I don’t know.”

Rey Mysterio Addresses Infamous WWE Match

While the Hall of Famer has many career highlights, one that is frequently brought up for the wrong reasons took place in 2005 in Mysterio’s rivalry with Eddie Guerrero with the custody of his son Dominik Mysterio on the line. During the same interview, Rey Mysterio revealed which Hall of Famer was a part of the pitch for the match.#

Also in the interview, the WWE star stated why he believes Dominik Mysterio will be a future World Champion.
