A WWE star has reacted to a report claiming that the company has ‘given up’ on them!

Despite being featured heavily over the last few years, including multiple WrestleMania matches, Omos has all but disappeared from WWE programming over the last year. Since losing to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania Backlash 2023, The Nigerian Giant has appeared almost exclusively at WWE live events and in recent months hasn’t competed for the company whatsoever.

Speculation on Omos’ future has risen since reports emerged that his long-time manager MVP is expected to leave WWE imminently alongside Bobby Lashley. Where this left Omos was uncertain until a recent report seemingly gave some not-so-positive insight into his situation.

Writing in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that MVP has not been seen on programming since Omos’ disappearance and hinted that Omos’ absence from live events since April is a major sign that the company has given up on him entirely.

“MVP (Hassan Asad), 50, hadn’t been used on television ever since they decided to take Omos off television. He had been doing house shows as the manager of Omos, who had been working with Akira Tozawa and Odyssey Jones to get experience as they hadn’t fully decided to give up on him. But they haven’t been at the house shows since early April.”

Hours after the report emerged, Omos himself took to social media to respond to it. Writing on his X account, Omos hit out at the report and likene it tabloid gossip similar to that seen in The National Enquirer.
