WWE Star Pulled From Raw; Adam Pearce Names Replacement

Raw GM Adam Pearce on WWE Raw

Adam Pearce named a replacement after Ivar was pulled from WWE Raw.

Ahead of the March 25th edition of Monday Night Raw, Adam Pearce took to social media with an announcement concerning Ivar of the Viking Raiders. The star had been scheduled to compete against Andrade inside the Allstate Arena, but now plans have taken a turn. Pearce said:

“Alright ladies and gentlemen, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce here and tonight live from a sold out jam-packed Allstate Arena here in Chicago with a bit of unfortunate news. Sometimes in our industry you’ll hear the phrase ‘card subject to change,’ and today’s one of those days.

“Ivar is medically unable to compete tonight, which means Andrade needs a new opponent, and a new opponent he has in Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci. Giovanni Vinci takes the place of Ivar tonight, that’s live on USA, 8/7 Central for Monday Night Raw, where anything and everything apparently can happen. Tonight, sold out, definitely official.”

When Will Ivar Return To WWE Raw?

According to a report from Fightful Select, sources indicate that the Viking Raider is fine and expected to return to the ring soon. Fightful was not told why the star had been taken out of competition on March 25th.

One man who will be in attendance during Monday Night Raw is CM Punk, who’s been advertised to return on the show in front of his hometown crowd. Drew McIntyre poked fun at the Second City Savior on social media, paying a visit to Punk’s beloved Mindy’s Bakery upon his arrival to Chicago.
