WWE Star Pulled From 9/2 Raw Match, Update On Health Status

Chad Gable Bronson Reed Braun Strowman on WWE Raw

Adam Pearce revealed the reason one star was pulled from WWE Raw.

Ahead of the September 2nd episode of Monday Night Raw, it was announced that Bronson Reed, Ludwig Kaiser, and Sheamus would face off in triple threat action to determine the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship. However, WrestleVotes reported earlier today that the match was being changes, writing:

I’m told there is a change coming to one of the triple threat matches tonight on #WWERaw Bronson Reed vs. Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser is not happening as advertised. The match is still taking place, however, I’m told Reed won’t be part of it.

Why Was Bronson Reed Pulled From WWE Raw On September 2nd?

In an update, Adam Pearce posted a video to social media explaining that Reed tested positive for COVID-19 and would not be part of Raw in Denver, Colorado. Pearce said:

Happy Labor Day WWE Universe, and what a weekend it was. Bash in Berlin, NXT No Mercy last night, and we finish it off right tonight. Labor Day Monday Night Raw from the Mile High City, Denver, Colorado.

Plenty of good vibes to go around, but I’m here with a bit of bad breaking news. Bronson Reed, medically unable to compete tonight. Has COVID. Out of the Intercontinental Championship contenders triple threat, and who steps in? Well, I can assure you I am working on that, and you will have an answer tonight, 8/7 Central, only on USA. Happy Labor Day.

Though Reed hasn’t commented directly on missing Monday Night Raw, he did take to social media on September 2nd to post simply:

Ugh

The September 2nd edition of Raw will also feature the commentary debut of former ESPN announcer Joe Tessitore.
