WWE Star Praises Becky Lynch For Work Behind The Scenes

Becky Lynch cuts a promo

Becky Lynch is without a doubt one of the most successful women to set foot in WWE. She emerged victorious in the first-eve women’s main event of WrestleMania, and has become one of the top names in the company, male or female.

Bianca Belair is no stranger to achieving milestones herself. Not only is she the second-longest reigning Raw Women’s Champion (second only to Lynch), but also the longest-reigning Black world champion in WWE history.

However, in the summer of 2021, the EST of WWE suffered a setback when she lost her SmackDown Women’s Championship to Lynch in just 26 seconds at SummerSlam. Belair had been scheduled to face Sasha Banks at the event, but when Banks was unavailable for undisclosed reasons, Lynch made her shocking return to the company for the first time since giving birth to her daughter Roux and defeated Belair in short order.

Belair hasn’t hidden how difficult this loss to Lynch was for her, and the latest edition of Ryan Satin’s Out of Character, she opened up about how receiving advice from John Cena helped put things in perspective.

Bianca Belair Says Becky Lynch Fights For Others In The Locker Room

Continuing in her interview with Ryan Satin, Bianca Belair had nothing but praise for The Man not only in terms of her on-screen work, but also for her work behind the scenes when it comes to fighting for women’s wresting and other members of the locker room. She also admits that looking back, the SummerSlam loss ended up working in her favor as it aided in the story that came full circle when they faced off again.

“I feel like it all worked out. A lot of that had to do with Becky Lynch too. She is someone who fights for women’s wrestling but she also fights for others in the locker room and she had a lot to do with bringing that full circle and making it work out the way that it did and I’ve learned so much from her.

“In hindsight, looking back, that was probably the best thing that could have happened to me. You can’t be Superwoman all the time, and you’ve got to overcome some odds and I was able to do that and then it turned into this beautiful storyline.

“It definitely worked out in a perfect way.”
