WWE SmackDown had everyone on the edge of their seats from the show’s commencement to its conclusion. John Cena kicked off the weekly show, marking his final SmackDown appearance in his retirement tour. And it concluded with one of the most hyped WWE returns in wrestling history.
Unfortunately, Charlotte Flair suffered a setback when she cited that she was unable to compete on SmackDown. Last week, the Women’s Tag Team Champions were set to defend the titles against Piper Niven and Alba Fyre. The challengers attacked Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss as they made their entrance. This forced Bliss to square off against Fyre in a singles match.
This week on the blue brand, Charlotte Flair was seen wearing a cast on her right foot. She confirmed that she was not medically cleared to compete. Alexa Bliss approached her and tried to cheer her up.

Charlotte Flair did not provide insight into when she would be returning for in-ring competition.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss’s History as a WWE Tag Team on SmackDown
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss became an tag team in June this year. At Evolution, they participated in a fatal four-way match for the tag team titles. Their loss was deemed fruitful a month later at SummerSlam when Flair and Bliss ended The Judgment Day’s reign as Tag Team Champions.
Currently, they are targeted by Chelsea Green and The Secret HERvice. Over the past month, they have been clashing in multiple bouts.
With Wrestlepalooza looming around the corner, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss could defend their titles if the injury is not severe and given a thumbs up by the medical personnel. On the other hand, a singles rivalry between Bliss and Chelsea Green would level up their feud in light of their history on SmackDown.
