A WWE star has shared a special description for the World Champion Gunther.

The current World Heavyweight Champion holds a special track record for two of the longest title reigns as the NXT UK Champion and the Intercontinental Champion. However, he has now received another special recognition in his career.

‘Big’ Bronson Reed is currently in a heated rivalry with Seth Rollins and has over the years been involved in multiple other feuds with several superstars, including his most recent violent rivalry against Braun Strowman.

However, amid his list of opponents, Reeds has declared a special recognition for The Imperium Leader. The Ring General is known for his hard-hitting style leaving behind marks on his opponents, and Reed has shared his thoughts on it.

In an interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Bronson Reed opened up on why Gunther is one of the hardest hitting opponents of his career. The two had their first and last television match on the 16th October 2023 episode of Raw, for the Intercontinental Championship. The duo later faced each other multiple times on the live shows.

I mean, I’ve had some hard hits. I’ll give you two. One is obviously Gunther. His chops are the hardest chops I’ve ever taken. I remember distinctively the first time wrestling him in Germany, and we were in a tiny little warehouse. It was like their dojo where they trained, and I remember getting chopped, and just how loud it was shocked me more than the actual feeling of the chop. Then, obviously, two seconds layered, your brain goes, ‘Oh. That’s on my chest.’ [Laughs]

He also revealed Kenta as another hard-hitting opponent, he has ever faced.

That, and I’ll have to say KENTA. He used to kick very hard back in the Japanese…when I first wrestled in Pro Wrestling NOAH. Every time he kicked me, he gave me a Go To Sleep that sent me for a loop. I’d say Gunther or KENTA are the hardest hitters, and they’ve hit me pretty hard.”

While Reed is now busy building his feud with Rollins after his loss at Crown Jewel, Gunther has his next opponent fixed.

Recently Gunther hit an impressive WWE milestone.
