2023 is already looking to be a big year for Montez Ford.
In November, WWE co-CEO Nick Khan revealed that Ford was set to feature in a Hulu TV series alongside his wife, Bianca Belair. The eight-episode series is currently in production and is expected to be reality-based programming.
Now, Montez Ford is adding to his 2023 successes with the scheduled release of a new album.
WWE Star Montez Ford Set To Release Album
In a post on his Instagram page on December 28th, Montez Ford announced that he would release his second album in March 2023, titled “SYAD.”
“ALBUM NO. 2.
BY YOURS TRULY.
MARCH 2023.”
Ford previously released an album called “LMTYO” on Valentine’s Day, 2022. He releases his music under the name “King Tez” and currently has 113 monthly listeners on Spotify.
Wrestling has branched out into the music industry several times over the last few decades. Perhaps most famously is Chris Jericho‘s contributions to music. Jericho fronts the band Fozzy, who perform his AEW entrance music, “Judas.”
Similarly, multiple-time WWE champion John Cena has dabbled in the music industry, releasing the rap album “You Can’t See Me” in 2005. His album featured the song “The Time Is Now,” which has been used as Cena’s entrance music ever since.
Even the legendary Randy Savage has released an album. In 2003, he released “Be a Man,” which famously featured a diss track aimed at real-life nemesis Hulk Hogan. The album was met with negative reviews.
Montez Ford will be looking to capitalise on the success of his in-ring career with this album’s launch. Since his first album release, Ford has been riding high on Monday Night Raw with tag partner Angelo Dawkins. Together as the Street Profits, they hold recent wins over the Judgement Day, Alpha Academy and Los Lotharios. The team have won the Raw, Smackdown and NXT tag championships once each.
