Social media star and WWE United States Champion Logan Paul is facing legal action from the United States Olympic Committee.
On top of his successes in the professional world which have included multiple PLE main events and a lenghty reign as United States Champion, Paul and KSI are the founders of the lucrative drinks brand Prime, which is the ring mat sponsor for all PLEs and is seen beside the commentary table for the majority of televised broadcasts. While the hydration brand has become popular around the world, a limited edition version of the product may have landed the US Champion in hot water.
To mark the 2024 Olympics that will commence in Paris on July 26th, a new flavour of Prime has been launched in collaboration with basketball player and 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist Kevin Durant. However, as reported by the BBC, the US Olympic Committee is now suing the drinks brand as there is no agreement to use the Olympic terminologies and trademarks, which the committee say are “deliberate” and “in bad faith.”
It is also stated in the BBC article that the committee had previously sent a cease and desist to the drinks company but Prime continued to market the product regardless.
Paul will defend the US Title against LA Knight at SummerSlam.
Inside The Ropes has reached out to Prime for a comment on this matter.
