Ivar took to social media with an update on his injury status, saying his situation is indeed serious.
On the May 14th episode of NXT, Gallus returned and attacked Ivar, Wes Lee, and Josh Briggs backstage. WWE later reported that Ivar was injured and would be out of action indefinitely.
While one report indicated that the injury was a work to allow Joe Coffey to replace the Viking Raider in a number one contender’s match for the North American Championship, Fightful Select reported that the injury was indeed legitimate. PWInsider speculated that the star might be undergoing surgery as he was spotted alongside Dr. Andrew Cordover at Andrews Sports Medicine.
