On May 15th it was announced that Liv Morgan had suffered an injury and as a result, her match with Raquel Rodriguez against Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green on WWE Raw was canceled.
At the time little was known about the injury only that it was suffered during a Women’s Tag Team Title defence against Damage CTRL a few days earlier on SmackDown.
However, it has been announced that the injury is more serious than first feared. Michael Cole revealed on SmackDown that Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez have been forced to relinquish their titles, and new champions will be crowned in a Fatal-Four-Way Match on the May 29th episode of Raw.
The match will feature Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green, Bayley & Iyo Sky, and Raquel Rodriguez and a mystery partner.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez won the Women’s Tag Team Titles on April 10th with victory over Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch. Stratus replaced Lita in the match and attacked Stratus once the bout was over. It was later revealed that Stratus had taken Lita out in order to get one over on Lynch.
