A recent WWE match was forced to forfeit following a scary botch.
A few weeks ago, Myles Borne left the popular stable ‘No Quarter Catch Crew’ after successfully defeating Charlie Dempsey in a rounds match. Following his exit, Borne soared to popularity as a singles star.
Myles Borne’s success as a singles star also tempted his former tag-team partner, Tavion Heights. Tonight on the July 8th episode of NXT, Heights faced off against Charlie Dempsey with a chance at exiting the faction. Heights was given the option to leave the faction if he could defeat Dempsey.
Unfortunately, tonight’s match failed to see a winner. Midway through the match, fans saw Dempsey suffer a horrific botch when he fell through the steel steps, and had his leg trapped in between the steps and the ring post. Soon, it transitioned into Dempsey repeatedly stomping Heights and increasing the damage.
Following this concerning and scary moment, Dempsey locked Heights in an STF submission in the middle of the ring, leading to Fellow N.Q.C.C. member Wren Sinclair throwing in a white towel and stopping the match. Compelled to forfeit the bout, tonight’s result will see Heights remain in the ‘No Quarter Catch Crew’ for the time being.
