WWE Star Cleared For Return Following Mysterious Absence

After a confusing couple of weeks, WWE Superstar Roxanne Perez could be back in action very soon.

At NXT Roadblock the star collapsed after retaining her NXT Women’s Title against Meiko Satomura. A similar angle was famously used by Shawn Michaels in the mid-1990s. WWE later stated that Perez had gone to the hospital for tests before being released.

It was reported that the “collapse” was a storyline cover for a real issue, although this was said to not be an injury. There was also doubt over whether the problem would prevent Perez from wrestling or appearing on television.

With her immediate future uncertain, Shawn Michaels announced that there would be a Ladder Match at NXT Stand & Deliver to determine the destination of the Women’s Title. Although he stopped short of stripping Perez of the gold.

However, it has now been reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio that Perez has received some more positive news. This means that she could be back on NXT television as early as March 21st.

“So she is okay, cleared, and will be worked back into storylines as soon as I mean probably starting on (tonight’s) show. Somehow they’re gonna get her back in the mix. Whatever the issue was, they got a good thing, a good report. It’s not an injury, but it’s just a situation that could have kept her out and that’s why they did the thing as kind of like a backup thing, and everything’s cool. From what I was told today, they’re gonna start working her back in,”

Roxanne Perez Remains NXT Women’s Champion

Roxanne Perez is one of the fastest-rising stars in all of WWE having captured championship gold aged just 21. After being trained by Booker T, Perez had a short spell with Ring of Honor before signing with WWE in March 2022.
