With her victory at WrestleMania 39, Rhea Ripley became the first Superstar to win the SmackDown, Raw, NXT, and NXT UK Women’s Titles.
After joining Judgment Day, Ripley’s career climbed to new heights and by defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, she cemented her status as arguably the biggest female star in the company.
Following her big win, Ripley has continued to act as Judgment Day’s enforcer, while her on-screen relationship remains a prominent part of WWE television. Her role in the group has brought her into conflict with the LWO and a new challenger for her SmackDown Women’s Title, Zelina Vega. The pair are set to meet at Backlash in Puerto Rico on May 6th.
During an appearance on After The Bell, Ripley’s Judgment Day teammate Damian Priest gave his opinion on her rise to the top of WWE’s women’s division. Priest even went as far as to claim that she’s already the greatest female wrestler of all time. He added that he doesn’t think there’s “anybody in the history of the business” who could dominate her.
“Greatest woman wrestler of all time. That’s where I’m at with Rhea. And I know it’s, everybody goes it’s a little early. Why? What title hasn’t she won yet? As far as where the women’s go. Who on this planet can stand in front of her and challenge her for that title, and you really think that they’re just going to have their way with her. Not one person on this entire planet. It doesn’t matter who it is. Rhea Ripley is the best.
I don’t think there’s anybody in the history of this business that that could dominate her, that’s who really is to me and watching her grow the same thing I said for Dom goes for Rhea proud, excited, just love the idea that I get to sit here right next to her and see all this magic and history happen.
I mean, it’s history because when it’s all said and done, I hope I’m a part of her induction into the Hall of Fame. I hope that you know, I’m there for every milestone that she’s going to accomplish. Rhea Ripley is the epitome of what a superstar and this business is.”
Rhea Ripley Drafted To Raw
During the recent WWE Draft, Rhea Ripley was drafted to Raw despite being SmackDown Women’s Champion. To further complicate the situation, Raw Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair was drafted to SmackDown. It has been rumoured that WWE will now use a ‘belt swap’ to move the titles back to the correct brand.
Ripley was most recently in action on the May 1st episode of SmackDown where she teamed with Dominik and Damian Priest to defeat Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, and Zelina Vega.
