Bobby Lashley still appears to not be scheduled for WrestleMania 39.
The All Mighty picked up the first major victory of WrestleMania weekend on the go-home episode of SmackDown on March 31st. Lashley would last eliminate Bronson Reed to become the winner of the 2023 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale.
Lashley originally was looking to face Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, but with the status of Wyatt still uncertain and no replacement match announced, the man who opened WrestleMania 37 remains without an opponent for the biggest show of the year.
Bobby Lashley Set To Not Compete At WWE WrestleMania 39
One fellow Raw Superstar who is shocked that Lashley will not be competing at WrestleMania is MVP, who has aligned himself with The All Mighty in the past. Speaking with WrestlingNews.co, MVP has revealed that he is shocked that there is not a match on the card for his former client, but the door is open for a reunion in the future:
“It’s an absolute travesty that a two time WWE Champion and athletic specimen the likes of Bobby Lashley does not have a match at WrestleMania. It’s inexcusable that Bobby Lashley doesn’t have a match at WrestleMania. However, you know who does have a match at WrestleMania? Omos. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Before Bobby Lashley and I ignited his career, it was floundering. Then with me, he became a two-time WWE Champion, and then he decided he didn’t need me anymore. He got the big head. He kicked me to the curb but somehow I was made the a**hole in this whole situation. Bobby left me. I didn’t leave Bobby. So I’ve made several overtures to Bobby. Shelton and Cedric have come back on board, and Bobby, you have my number. Let’s do business.”
Following the dissolution of the Hurt Business, MVP would offer his services to Omos. MVP would be the one responsible for securing a match at WrestleMania between The Nigerian Giant and Brock Lesnar.
