On November 1st it was reported that WWE Superstar Becky Lynch was set to appear in the upcoming third season of popular television series Young Rock.
The report stated that Lynch, under her real name of Rebecca Quin, would be taking on the role of music legend Cyndi Lauper. In addition, Lynch would be appearing in the season premiere episode on November 4th which centres around a party thrown by Lauper in 1985, around the time of the first WrestleMania.
Cyndi Lauper was a celebrity guest at WrestleMania I, and accompanied Wendi Richter to the ring for her WWF Women’s Championship match against Leilani Kai.

Posting on social media Lynch has now confirmed that she will be taking on the role. In the post the star spoke of her excitement at taking on the part as well as sharing a few behind-the-scenes photos from the show.

Young Rock is based on the life story of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, following his younger years in school to moving into the wrestling business. The show is moving to Fridays for season three putting it up against WWE SmackDown, after previously being broadcast on Tuesdays.
Becky Lynch hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Bianca Belair at SummerSlam. During the bout she suffered a shoulder injury, although she finished the match as planned. The Irish star was written off television on the following episode of Monday Night Raw.
It was recently reported that Lynch isn’t close to a return to the ring despite speculation suggesting otherwise.
