Asuka’s recent scary situation now has a major update.
A couple of days ago on January 29th, former women’s champion Asuka opened up about a scary incident she faced. Talking about the story in a series of Tweets, the Empress of Tomorrow shared about the feeling of being in danger. Possibly reflecting on a ‘scary’ fan situation, the 2018 Royal Rumble winner asked fans to not have “romantic feelings” for her and even consulted the police for help.
Fortunately, her story received major spotlight, and now action has been taken on it. In a follow-up tweet about the unfortunate incident, Asuka revealed how she has now secured protection.
“WWE and TKO are taking action to protect me. I appreciate it.”
Pro-wrestlers often face such scary situations and have several times shared such stalking incidents.
Currently recovering from a knee injury, Asuka is now reportedly nearing her return, and the promotion has seemingly begun crafting creative pitches for her.
Recently Asuka issued further pleas for fans to stop harassing her.
Asuka’s Former WWE Rival Sonya Deville Recently Reflected On Her Unfortunate 2020 Stalking Incident
Recently, in an interview with Natasha Verma of Fox 5 New York, Sonya Deville reflected on her scary stalking incident from nearly five years ago.
“Yeah, it was an unfortunate incident that I don’t wish upon anybody. I think there’s a lot that can be done to change some laws and regulations around stalking. Stalking victims, I think it’s really hard sometimes when I always say and this is gonna sound weird but I was very fortunate the man did break into my house, did have weapons, did show intent to harm and so he’s locked up and he’s in jail for a long time.
That’s like a best case scenario in a sense because a lot of people deal with stalking for years and years and if the person doesn’t cross that one boundary then you can’t put them behind bars or you can’t get a restraining order and I think that is more terrifying than anything. Just living with that over your head. That’s celebrities and non-celebrities, people dealing with that. So, yeah, I think there’s a lot that could be changed in the future.”
