WWE star denies retirement claims sparked by false viral video.
On Monday Night RAW’s May 19 episode, Zoey Stark competed against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane in a Money in the Bank qualifier match. Unfortunately, she sustained a knee injury while performing a missile dropkick. A video then went viral of “Stark” announcing her retirement after an MRI apparently confirmed she tore her ACL.
In a recent social media post, Zoey Stark addressed the viral video and shared that it was AI-generated and that it even fooled her family. The WWE Superstar clarified she wasn’t retiring and is at the UFC Performance Institute for her physical therapy.
“Um, it’s not true, I’m not retiring, not any time soon. In fact, I’m here at the UFC Performance Institute to do rehab on my knee and working my ass off three to four times a day of physical therapy. But I’m gonna share my journey with you guys, you know, the good, the bad, the ugly, the road to recovery and what it is. So stay with me, I love all you Stark Marks.”

Zoey has since undergone surgery for her ACL, MCL, and meniscus injuries, sharing that the scheduled 2-hour operation turned into 3 and a half.
Zoey Stark’s First Statement After WWE Injury
Despite the intensity of the injury, Zoey Stark still took time to thank everybody for sending her love and support following the accident on RAW.
In a post on X, the WWE star thanked all the supportive messages she received after her injury and noted that another thing that hurt the most, aside from her knee, is not being able to perform for a while.
“Wow the love and support means more to me than you’ll ever know! What hurts more than my knee is knowing I wont be able to perform for all of you for a while. I LOVE what I do and I’m blessed to do this. As the saying goes, the comeback is greater than the setback. Love you guys #StarkMarks”
Due to the severity of the injury, reports have shared that the former Women’s NXT Tag Team Champion is not expected to return this year.
