Here is why SmackDown 11/15 could have suffered a viewership drop.
The ratings and viewership for SmackDown 11/15 are now out, and it does not look good. Despite a star-studded show and the advancement of several storylines, SmackDown failed to maintain its previous ratings and viewerships.
The show was pitched against the heavily hyped Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul boxing fight. As per Wrestlenomics, SmackDown 11/15 scored 1.234 million viewers on the USA Network. The numbers are down from the 1.536 million viewers the show scored on November 8. This also marked the blue brand’s lowest viewership since its November 24, 2023 episode. The Friday night show posted a 0.32 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, which is down big from the 0.47 rating from the 11/08 show.
The show went on a head-to-head battle with Paul and Tyson’s Netflix stream, which peaked at a massive 60 million viewership during the main event, which was ultimately won by Jake Paul. Later, former United States Champion Logan Paul also answered a challenge from Mike Tyson.
Former WWE United States Champion Logan Paul Explicitly Answers Mike Tyson’s Boxing Challenge
Mike Tyson shares a history with the Stamford-based promotion, including his most notable WrestleMania XIV presence. A boxing legend, and one of the most feared men during his prime, Mike Tyson’s recent challenge was not taken well by WWE star Logan Paul.
After a tiresome eight-round battle against Jake Paul, Tyson came up short and lost the bout. However, he expressed his intentions to continue his boxing career and challenged Paul’s brother, Logan Paul. However, The Maverick rather had a surprising response.
Motherf**ker, I’d kill you Mike.
While there is no confirmation of the fight, Mike Tyson’s response signaled toward a future match.
