WWE SmackDown Star Undergoes Surgery, Return Date Unknown

WWE SmackDown star Cruz Del Toro will be out of action until further notice.

Posting to his Instagram page on April 18th, the LWO member is seen in a hospital bed in Birmingham, Alabama with his left arm in a cast. Del Toro captioned the post by thanking the team and added that he would return better than ever:

A special thank you to Dr. McKeon and the team at Birmingham Surgery Center for their care, the surgery was a success.

Thank you for your messages of support and good wishes. I will be back soon and better than ever.

Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde have joined forces with Rey Mysterio as the Hall of Famer continues his battles with Santos Escobar, Dominik Mysterio, Angel and Humberto. At WrestleMania 40, Del Toro and Wilde neutralised interference from Angel and Humberto to allow Mysterio and Andrade to be victorious in their tag team match, which also included an assist from Philadelphia Eagles players Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson.

Cruz Del Toro Last Competed On Final WWE SmackDown Before WrestleMania

A part of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on April 5th on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 40, Del Toro was unsuccessful in the match that was won by Bronson Reed, who last eliminated Ivar.

On top of their regular SmackDown appearances alongside the LWO, Del Toro and Wilde and frequently competed on NXT.
