WWE SmackDown Star “Leading Candidate” To Win Money In The Bank

WWE Money In The Bank

The 2023 edition of WWE Money In The Bank might not be for three months, but it appears that there’s already a frontrunner for the men’s briefcase.

In the lead-up to WrestleMania 39, it was reported that LA Knight could be heading for big things. The report noted that Triple H wanted to do more with Knight post-WrestleMania, while it was claimed that The Game and others within WWE had been impressed with the reactions the star has continued to get at live events.

Despite LA Knight not having a match at WrestleMania, it has been reported that he is being viewed as a “leading candidate” to win Money In The Bank.

The report from WRKD Wrestling claims Knight has been “discussed internally” as a potential winner.

“LA Knight has been discussed internally as a leading candidate to win this year’s Money In The Bank match.”

The 2022 edition of the event was held in Las Vegas, with Austin Theory winning the men’s Ladder Match while Liv Morgan was triumphant in the women’s match. Morgan famously cashed in her contract that very night to win the SmackDown Women’s Title from Ronda Rousey.

WWE Money In The Bank Heading To The United Kingdom

WWE Money In The Bank will come live from the o2 Arena in London, England on July 1st. 2023 will mark the first time that the event will be held outside of the United States since its inception back in 2010.

The match that gave the show its name debuted at WrestleMania 21 in 2005 and was won by Edge. The match spawned its own standalone event five years later.
