Keep up with all of tonight’s WWE SmackDown results as the show emanates from the WWE ThunderDome inside the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida with WrestleMania Backlash set to take place in four weeks!

The results from this week’s show were as follows:

  • Rey Mysterio defeated Otis via Pinfall (3:00)
  • Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn via Countout (10:10)
  • Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler defeated The Street Profits via Pinfall to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship (10:40)
  • Natalya defeated Shayna Baszler via Pinfall (2:25)
  • Cesaro defeated Jey Uso via Disqualification (10:20)

Roman Reigns Addresses His WrestleMania Win, Cesaro Interrupts

  • We see a recap of the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania before Michael Cole introduces Pat McAfee before Roman Reigns makes his entrance. Heyman runs down Edge and Bryan’s accomplishments but reminds us that Reigns beat both of them in the main event of WrestleMania.
  • Reigns says that he proved he’s the head of the table and now nobody is going to step up to him because nobody is on his level. Reigns says he fulfilled his obligation by appearing tonight and goes to leave before Cesaro interrupts.

  • After the commercial, Cesaro talks to Sonya & Pearce backstage. Cesaro says he wants a non-title match with Reigns tonight and before Pearce can respond, Sonya says she’ll talk to Roman and let him know.
  • Later on, Heyman tells Kayla Braxton they don’t put “smiles on the faces of neanderthals” and reminds us that Reigns has starpower because he beat both Edge and Bryan at the same time at WrestleMania. Heyman says they’ll give Cesaro what he wants but in the main event against Jey Uso, not Reigns.

Otis vs Rey Mysterio

  • Otis dominates over Mysterio, taking him down with a shoulder tackle before following up with a gorilla press. Otis goes for the tsunami for Mysterio dodges before setting up Otis for the 619. He hits it before following up with a diving crucifix bomb to pick up the win.

Winner: Rey Mysterio via Pinfall in 3:00

Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens

  • Zayn complains that he was cheated yet all the news outlets covered Owens hitting a Stunner on Logan Paul. Zayn says he lost because he was distracted by Paul’s corruption which is the only reason he lost. Zayn calls out Owens for vindication who comes out as we cut to commercial.
  • We cut back to Owens vs Zayn starting with Owens taking control early on. Zayn gains the advantage temporarily by choking Owens on the top rope before hitting a code red from the top for a two count before we cut to commercial.
  • We cut back to Owens hitting Zayn with a superkick for a two before hitting a diving senton for another near-fall. Zayn attempts to run away but Owens throws him back in the ring. He hits a knee-assited driver for another two count but Zayn escapes to the outside and rakes Owens’ right eye before taking a count out loss.
  • Owens brawls with Zayn and hits a Stunner in revenge.

Winner: Kevin Owens via Countout in 10:10

Apollo Crews Introduces Commander Azeez

  • Crews says he would give Big E a title shot but he’s not here due to Commander Azeez, his new commander, who helped him win at WrestleMania. Crews says as long as Azeez is around, no one will be able to step to the Nigerian royalty.

Bianca Belair’s Victory Party

  • The Street Profits reminds us Sasha and Bianca’s historic WrestleMania match by showing us a video package of the match before introducing Bianca. Bianca says that her win reminded her that if you keep chasing your dream you’ll eventually make it.
  • Belair thanks Banks and says she pushed her harder than anyone else has before. She says her title win is for all the little girls who looked up to her achieving her dream at Raymond James Stadium before she and The Street Profits hug it out.
  • Afterwards, Kayla starts to ask Sasha about her title loss but Sasha is loss for words and simply shows her scar from Bianca’s hair whip before walking away. Afterwards, Bayley tells Kayla that the reason Bianca was crying before her WrestleMania match was because she didn’t think she’d win.
  • Bayley says the only way to fix this is for her to challenge Bianca and take the title from her.

Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler vs The Street Profits

  • Street Profits take control early on with Ford hitting Ziggler with a dropkick for a one-count. Street Profits continue to tag in and out and focus on Ziggler before Roode tags in. Dawkins taunt to a ringside camera as we cut to commercial.
  • We cut back to Roode taking control from Dawkins with a spinebuster for a near-fall. Ziggler tags in and hits a neckbreaker for a near-fall of his own before Roode comes back in and hits a suplex for yet another near-fall.
  • Dawkins slingshots Ziggler into the corner before tagging in Ford and Ziggler tags Roode. Ford builds a comeback and hits a tope con hilo on Roode as Dawkins tags in. Dawkins hits a spinebuster before Ford hits For The Heavens but Ziggler breaks up the pinfall.
  • Both Ziggler and Dawkins brawl to outside but Ziggler tags in behind Ford’s back. Ziggler hits a Zig-Zag out of nowhere to retain.

Winners: Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler via Pinfall to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship in 10:40

Natalya vs Shayna Baszler

  • Natalya attempts to lock in the Sharpshooter early on but Bazsler escapes to the outside and jawjacks with Tamina. She gets back in the ring and tries to stamp on Natalya’s elbow but Tamina saves her. Baszler hits a bicycle knee strike for a two-count but Natalya kicks out.
  • Natalya hits the discus lariat and attempts to lock in the Sharpshooter but Nia distracts her from the apron. Shayna attempts to lock in the Kirafuda Clutch but Natalya rolls her up to pick up the win.

Winner: Natalya via Pinfall in 2:25

Jey Uso vs Cesaro

  • We’re shown the UFO from WrestleMania for a fourth time before Jey asks if Cesaro can execute the move without any teeth because that’s what he going to do in this main event. He and Roman fistbump before he leaves.
  • Cesaro easily overpowers Jey early on but Jey slams his arm against the ringpost before superkicking him at ringside before we cut to commercial. We cut back to Uso hitting a Samoan Drop on Cesaro for near-fall before Cesaro deadlifts Jey into a standing vertical suplex. Uso hits another superkick for a two-count.
  • Cesaro takes Uso to the top rope for a superplex but transitions into a gutwrench suplex for a very close near-fall. Uso attempts a arm drag but Cesaro cartwheels out of it before following up with a springboard corkscrew uppercut. Cesaro begins building a comeback, hitting a spinning lariat for yet another near-fall.
  • Cesaro hits The Swing on Jey but Seth Rollins attacks him during it to cause a disqualification loss. Rollins says Cesaro got lucky at Mania and that he’s not done with him to close the show.

Winner: Cesaro via Disqualification in 10:20
