WWE SmackDown Promo Sparks ‘Off-Script’ Reports After Controversial Segment

Charlotte Flair Tiffany Stratton WWE

Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton did not hold back on WWE SmackDown.

Midway through the 4th April episode of SmackDown, fans witnessed a promo segment between Stratton and her challenger, Flair. At WrestleMania 41, The Queen is set to challenge Stratton for her Women’s Championship.

Chasing her 15th World title, Flair has been on a hunt for ‘Tiffy’s’ gold. However, for the past few weeks, Stratton has regularly dominated Flair on the mic. Similarly, this week in Chicago, Stratton continued her dominance on the mic, whereas the Second City crowd drowned Flair with loud boos. Denying her the chances to speak, the verbal spat felt one-sided, and at times a bit forced.

However, things turned heated when both women took a controversial turn. Toward the concluding stages of the segment, Stratton took a visible shot at Flair’s recent divorce with Andrade. Referring to Flair’s WrestleMania record and divorce, the current champion claimed:

“When it’s all said and done, you’re going to be just like you are outside of the ring, alone! What is that record, like 0-3?”

However, things did not just stop there, as Flair followed it up with:

“Is that why Kaiser’s in my DMs?”

Both taking shots at each other’s personal lives, a report soon emerged from WrestleVotes about them going off-script.

“Charlotte & Tiffany said very little of what was in the rundown for them. Off script quite a bit.”

WWE Star Charlotte Flair Discusses “Embarrassment” Following Her Divorce

In a new interview with Sherri Shepherd, Charlotte Flair opened up about her divorce from Andrade. Getting candid about her life, she opened up,

“I didn’t. I felt like I was failing at my job. I felt like I was failing in my personal life and the embarrassment of being divorced again and being compared to my father. Let me gather myself. When I made the decision to file for divorce, the only thing I kept thinking was I just didn’t want anyone to know. ‘Oh my gosh, I have failed again.’

Then, my knee. As women, I think men too, but everyone is probably thinking, ‘She’s going to come back a year older. She’s going to come back less than. She’s coming back off this knee injury.’

Unfortunately, the WWE audience hasn’t gotten to see the come back of Charlotte Flair. This wasn’t a Charlotte Flair redemption story, but for me it’s a redemption story for me because everything I have feared or been scared of or embarrassed of, publicly, because everyone has an opinion, even though they don’t know the facts.”

In other news: Rey Fenix has finally made his WWE debut.

Following the controversial segment going viral, Ric Flair gave his thoughts.
