WWE SmackDown is set to emanate from Dublin, Ireland, on August 22, 2025. Here’s the preview:
WWE embarks on its Europe tour that will culminate with Clash in Paris on August 31. Several top stars and segments have been announced for the show already, with John Cena returning being the headline. Alongside The GOAT, Charlotte Flair will be in action with two mammoth tag team matches being announced.
It will also be interesting to see what The Wyatt Sicks are up to after some massive teases on last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Here’s the WWE SmackDown preview from Dublin, Ireland:
John Cena Could Have A Monumental Announcement On WWE SmackDown
John Cena is set to appear on SmackDown for the first time in a while. The star is set to face Logan Paul at Clash in Paris. However, before the event, the star could make another major announcement. With WWE Wrestlepalooza already announced for September 20, John Cena could make it an even bigger spectacle by formally challenging Brock Lesnar on the show.

Cena will have some issues to settle with Lesnar as the latter returned at SummerSlam to take out the 17-time world champion. However, a match between both legends has not yet been announced. It has already been rumored that WWE’s first PLE on ESPN will showcase the blockbuster match. Cena could formally announce the same and set a match.
The Wyatt Sicks Could Kickstart A New Feud
The Wyatt Sicks’ Erick Rowan was seen lurking in the shadows during a MFT segment backstage on last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. The star was seemingly spotted by Talla Tonga, but a feud has not been teased. Meanwhile, Wyatt Sicks’ Nikki Cross was also seen in the shadows during Tiffany Stratton’s segment with Kiana James.
It seems that the group is heading toward some new feuds. With The MFT facing The Street Profits on the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown, The Wyatt Sicks, led by Uncle Howdy, could launch a sudden attack. Now that Solo Sikoa has moved on from Jacob Fatu and is seemingly being targeted by Sami Zayn, the rest of the group could be engaged with the Wyatts.
Nikki Cross could also launch a vicious backstage attack on Tiffany Stratton, indicating her wish to go after the WWE Women’s Title.
Drew McIntyre Could Have A New Target
On last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Drew McIntyre was desperate to get himself some more of Cody Rhodes. The Undisputed Champion was put on the shelf after a vicious attack from the Scottish star. They are not scheduled for a match anytime soon, and Rhodes was absent from last week’s episode.
After being frustrated at Rhodes not being on the show once again, the star could attack one of his friends or even someone who may not be a proper wrestler. McIntyre could go on a complete tangent and suddenly attack Wade Barrett. Knowing that Barrett is no longer a full-time wrestler and won’t be able to defend himself, the star could lay his hands on the WWE SmackDown commentator. This could be a further message to Cody Rhodes, as he is currently out filming for Street Fighter.
Other matches:
- Charlotte Flair vs Piper Niven
- MCMG vs Melo Don’t Miz
There could be some interesting developments on SmackDown, and WWE gears up for another massive show in Clash in Paris.
