WWE SmackDown, dated June 27, 2025, is set to emanate from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. The episode is set to act as the go-home show to Night of Champions and is expected to be a classic with appearances from John Cena, CM Punk, and maybe even a surprise return.
WWE has always tried their very best to make the Saudi Arabia shows feel as special as possible, and with SmackDown now set to emanate from the Kingdom, a lot could be in store, including the crowning of a new champion. Giulia is set to face Zelina Vega in a bid to capture the latter’s United States Title. It could turn out to be a great match with the Japanese star emerging victorious.

Tiffany Stratton will also be in action on WWE SmackDown in a defence of her Women’s Title against Nia Jax in a Last Woman Standing Match. The match could see Naomi cash in her money in the bank contract after failing to do so last week.

Meanwhile, fans are eager to hear what CM Punk has to say in reply to John Cena’s pipebomb from last week. Let’s take a look at what could unfold on the show:
#3. Jacob Fatu could be destroyed by a new Bloodline member
The Bloodline is reportedly set to add a new member, and it’s most likely going to be Hikuleo. The star has made some appearances ahead of the show, mostly for Main Event tapings. However, he could make a surprise debut on the show and take out Jacob Fatu. The Bloodline officially broke up last week after Fatu refused to align with Solo Sikoa. This week, Sikoa could exact revenge and take out Fatu.
#2. CM Punk could get payback from John Cena on WWE SmackDown
CM Punk did not appear on the latest episode of WWE RAW, as the company has been building up to his eventual retaliation. The star will, in all likelihood, cut a scathing promo on John Cena on WWE SmackDown and take the world champion to task ahead of Night of Champions.
It remains to be seen how the confrontation unfolds and whether Cena will once again be able to get the better of his arch-nemesis.
#1. Roman Reigns could make a huge surprise return
It is once again Roman Reigns season in WWE, with the company reportedly preparing for the OTC’s eventual return. Whether that happens on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown remains to be seen. The star could do the unthinkable and cost Seth Rollins a Money in the Bank cash-in. The former world champion could then demolish Rollins and his faction, leading to a huge match at SummerSlam.

While some reports have suggested that he could return during SummerSlam, the star is also set to be a part of a huge movie. With shooting for the movie starting sometime after SummerSlam, WWE could fast-track his return and make it happen on the WWE SmackDown before Night of Champions.
