In a shocking turn of events, the match to unify the WWE Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships is no more as Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre have been added to proceedings.

Roman Reigns proved himself as the one true Head Of The Table in WWE at WrestleMania when he defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event to unify the WWE and Universal Championships. With a belt now over each shoulder, Reigns challenged The Usos to do the same by going to Raw and challenging RK-Bro to put their Raw Tag Team Championship on the line.

The match had been set for WrestleMania Backlash but on SmackDown, The Tribal Chief seemingly had a change of heart. With Randy Orton and Riddle in the ring with The Usos to sign their contract for May’s Premium Live Event, Reigns made his presence felt which allowed The Usos to attack their would-be opponents.

Roman Reigns then tore up the contract for the unification bout at WrestleMania Backlash, stuffing the remnants of it in Riddle’s mouth. Luckily for RK-Bro Drew McIntyre came to their salvation and took out Reigns with a belly-to-belly suplex.

Reigns’ Special Counsel Paul Heyman was later seen pleading with WWE official Adam Pearce to add both Reigns and McIntyre to the tag team bout and WWE announced after SmackDown that is exactly what has happened.

McIntyre will team with RK-Bro to face the trio of The Bloodline. No mention has been made if the match is still to unify the two tag team championships or if it could be ‘winner take all’ with both of Reigns’ titles on the line as well.
