After exchanging barbs on social media it was announced that Liv Morgan would be taking on Rhea Ripley on SmackDown.
The pair have found themselves competing against one another at key moments with Ripley eliminating Morgan last to win the women’s Royal Rumble match. Impressively, the two women had also started the match at numbers one and two respectively.
On SmackDown Morgan put in a spirited performance and troubled Ripley at numerous points before eventually tasting defeat. The Nightmare scored the win after following up a Riptide with an inverted Cloverleaf submission.
At the end of the match, the camera cut to the crowd and showed a young fan crying after her favourite had been beaten.
After the show, a video began doing the rounds on social media showing Morgan meeting the fan backstage. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion gave ten-year-old Kylie a huge hug and told her that in eight years she can join WWE and they’ll be tag team champions.

Liv Morgan Wasn’t The Only Star To Be Beaten Down By Rhea Ripley
Shortly after her win, Rhea Ripley was at ringside to support Dominik Mysterio as he took on Santos Escobar. Mysterio scored the win after Ripley hit a Riptide on his rival on the outside before he hit a Frog Splash.
After the match, Mysterio stole the mask that his father had given to Escobar and began to rip it up. This brought out Rey Mysterio who remonstrated with his son. However, his efforts came to nothing and he was also left laying.
