WWE icon Shane Helms has heaped praise on current star Sami Zayn following Zayn’s show-stealing match and appearance on SmackDown.
On Friday Night SmackDown, Sami Zayn was at his best as he tried to ingratiate himself with The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. After interrupting RK-Bro who were on the show seeking a title unification match with The Usos, Sami Zayn took on Riddle in a one-on-one bout.
Zayn ended up losing that match meaning per the stipulation RK-Bro were in line to get their tag team title unification match against The Usos. At the end of the night, The Usos finally accepted their fate and now both teams will put the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships on the line on SmackDown in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
For WWE producer and former star Shane Helms, Sami Zayn’s performance on SmackDown and week after week has stood out. Taking to social media, Helms said he thinks Zayn is the most versatile star in the business:
“That @SamiZayn is probably the most versatile performer going right now.”

Sami Zayn stole the show at WrestleMania 38 when he wrestled Jackass star Johnny Knoxville in a riotous Anything Goes match. Zayn ended up on the wrong side of the pinfall in a match where he was bodyslammed by Wee Man, hit with a giant hand, and ultimately undone by Knoxville with a giant mousetrap.
