Bryan Danielson

Concerning Update on Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson, one of professional wrestling’s most celebrated athletes, has provided a somber health update as he continues his time away from the ring.

Following his transition to a part-time schedule after AEW WrestleDream, where he competed as a full-time wrestler for the last time, Danielson has shared that ongoing neck problems could keep him sidelined indefinitely.

Speaking on The Nikki and Brie Show, he avoided calling his situation a “retirement” but admitted that his neck issues feel severe:

“We don’t know what’s going to happen with my neck, but it honestly feels like I have a bobblehead.”

Brie Garcia, Danielson’s wife, confirmed during the interview that he will need neck surgery. Danielson reflected on how hard stepping away from wrestling has been, noting:

“The hardest part is probably for the person who does it. People are sad for a bit, then everybody just moves on.” [h/t Fightful]

While Danielson hasn’t ruled out future appearances, his ability to return to the ring remains uncertain. Fans now await updates, hoping for the best for The American Dragon.

Mercedes Mone's Surprising Dream Opponent Revealed

AEW’s TBS Champion Mercedes Moné has shared her admiration for WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and expressed her desire to step into the ring with him if given the chance.

Speaking with Ginger Vision House, Moné—known for her groundbreaking matches and homage to her inspirations—named Mysterio as her dream intergender opponent, citing his legendary status and connection to her all-time favorite, Eddie Guerrero.

Moné also reflected on her dream matches with women’s wrestling icons, listing Manami Toyota, Trish Stratus, and Mickie James as wrestlers she’d love to face. Speaking about Toyota, she said:

“If I could wrestle her from the ’90 or ’92, my head would probably be kicked off to the 10th row, but I would give my all. She is one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time.” [h/t Fightful]

With Mysterio still active and Moné holding her position as one of AEW’s top stars, fans can only imagine the excitement a match between these two trailblazers would generate.

WWE Releases Never Before Seen Footage of CM Punk's Return

One year after CM Punk’s shocking return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 in Chicago, WWE has released an exclusive behind-the-scenes video detailing the monumental moment.

The footage offers a candid look at Punk’s backstage journey, beginning with his arrival at the Gorilla position, where Bruce Prichard and Triple H guided him before his dramatic entrance. As the WarGames match concluded, Punk stood poised, waiting for the iconic opening riff of Cult of Personality to electrify the crowd.

The video captures the reactions of stunned WWE personnel, including a shocked Bayley learning the news and a warm backstage meeting between Punk and Randy Orton, who humorously quipped that Punk’s return was orchestrated to overshadow Orton’s own comeback. The footage also includes Punk’s now-famous photo with Triple H, symbolizing his reconciliation with the company after nearly a decade away.

The final moments of the video recap the unforgettable scene of Punk stepping through the curtain to a deafening Chicago crowd, cementing a comeback that remains one of the most talked-about moments in WWE history.

Jade Cargill Injured; Out Of Action For 12 Weeks

Jade Cargill Says WWE Dream Match Is "The Topic Of Discussion Almost Every Week"

New details have emerged regarding Jade Cargill’s absence from WWE SmackDown after her on-screen attack during the November 22nd episode.

During a match featuring Chelsea Green, Blair Davenport, and Bianca Belair, footage aired showing Cargill injured atop a car hood backstage. This prompted Belair to leave the match to check on her partner, allowing Green to secure the victory.

WWE later announced that Cargill sustained multiple injuries and did not provide a timetable for her return.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, the incident ties to a legitimate injury Cargill is dealing with, sidelining her for at least three months, potentially longer.

Spoilers from the November 29th SmackDown reveal that Bayley will step in to replace Cargill in the upcoming WarGames match at Survivor Series.

The status of the Women’s Tag Team Titles, currently held by Cargill and Belair, remains uncertain as WWE has not addressed the situation at the time of writing.

WWE Locker Room Angered By Recent Policy Change

WWE Stars Frustrated With Policy Change

Despite WWE’s record-breaking success in 2024, not all members of the roster are thrilled with recent changes in company protocol.

According to a report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, talent have expressed frustration over a shift in the complimentary ticket policy, which now makes it harder for them to secure free tickets for family and friends.

Historically, wrestlers could request comp tickets for events, but in recent weeks, these requests have been replaced with pre-sale links for purchasing tickets. Additionally, WWE’s reliance on “seat fillers” has declined, thanks to consistently sold-out shows.

One unnamed talent shared their disappointment, noting the lack of an official update about the change and learning of it through talent relations. Another claimed they had comp tickets approved months earlier, only to be asked to pay for them closer to the event.

With WWE enjoying unprecedented demand, these changes reflect the company’s efforts to maximize revenue, though they have left some roster members feeling sidelined.
