This WWE star won’t be returning soon after all according to a new report.
Alexa Bliss hasn’t competed inside the squared circle since taking part in the 2023 Royal Rumble. While Bliss had been working toward an in-ring return, she announced in May of 2023 that she was pregnant with her first child. Bliss and husband Ryan Cabrera welcomed their daughter Hendrix the following November.
A recent report indicated that Alexa Bliss was expected to return to WWE soon, and creative was working on factoring her into future programming. The report states that merchandising and promotional opportunities were already in the works.
However, the latest report from PWInsider reveals that plans for Bliss’ return have since been scrapped and the creative team was told to hold off on plans for the star indefinitely. The report notes that there were plans in place for Bliss to return several weeks ago in San Jose, CA and that a storyline involving the Wyatt Sicks had been pitched as part of her comeback. Those plans were scrapped ahead of the event, and any future plans for the Wyatt Sicks following their move to SmackDown do not include Bliss.
The report from PWInsider states that creative changes were not the reason Bliss’ return was scrapped, and that one source indicated there could be a contract issue, but that is not confirmed.
According to the report, there are no plans at this time for Bliss to be part of the Royal Rumble.
WWE’s Alexa Bliss Has New Voice Acting Role
The former Women’s Champion has taken part in multiple projects during her hiatus, Alexa Bliss’ latest voice acting role will see her provide the English dubbing for the character Obiguro in Sakamoto Days. A description of the series is as follows:
