WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event was a short yet eventful show with lots of things happening.
The event saw Goldberg’s retirement match, although what happened after got fans talking. Seth Rollins was heartbreakingly injured during his match against LA Knight, while Randy Orton created a new tag team, even giving it a name.
Bianca Belair, who has been injured since WrestleMania, finally made her return and is set for a special role at Evolution. Additionally, a new feud was teased for the recently debuted Tala Tonga.
Here’s a look at the winners and losers from WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event:
#4. Winner – Bianca Belair returned at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
Bianca Belair has been on the sidelines since suffering an injury at WrestleMania. The star has been reluctantly part of the Naomi-Jade Cargill feud. She will now play a key role in the stars’ No Holds Barred match as she was announced as the Special Guest Referee.
Had to come back to get the girlies in order.
Tomorrow at #WWEEvolution itโs going down.

This was great news for WWE fans as The EST was deeply missed on the company’s programming. The star will certainly add a new element to what has been a lacklustre Evolution build.
#3. Loser – Goldberg’s farewell speech was abruptly cut off by WWE
Goldberg’s retirement match against Gunther was more of a spot fest than a match, with the referee Charles Robinson being knocked out during the contest, giving The Ring General enough time to go after Goldberg’s son Gage.
However, it was what happened after the match that got fans talking as Goldberg’s farewell speech was first interrupted by a commercial and was then abruptly cut off, much to the chagrin of fans.
FOR ONE FINAL TIME.

It was not a good look from World Wrestling Entertainment to not let one of the greatest legends in the industry have a proper farewell match. More care could have been taken for Goldberg to have more minutes on the mic and give him a proper send-off.
#2. Winner and Loser – The WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Concept
Since re-introducing the Saturday Night’s Main Event concept, WWE has done a great job of keeping the event short and fresh. There have been some key developments in some of the events, but overall, it doesn’t feel like a major show at all.
The latest edition of SNME had only four matches and was mostly built around Goldberg’s retirement. Despite this, the matches were mostly inconsequential and did not add much to any of the developing storylines.

It seems the card was abruptly made to give Goldberg a farewell and give Jelly Roll something to do.
#1. Loser – Seth Rollins is injured
In a rarity on these Winners and Losers lists, we will unfortunately have to end with a Loser here. Seth Rollins’ injury is just devastating to fans. The Visionary was arguably WWE’s biggest star heading into SummerSlam, with RAW being built entirely around him. With his knee injury, it just means that everything will now have to be reshuffled. It’s just very bad news for things overall, as his new stable was becoming quite interesting.

It remains to be seen what the extent of his injury will be and how WWE will cope with it coming out of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
