WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Runtime Revealed

The running time for the upcoming WWE Saturday Night’s Main event has been revealed.

PWInsider reported that WWE is set to bring back its iconic Saturday Night’s Main Event with a special two-hour broadcast on December 14th, 2024. Airing from 8 PM to 10 PM ET, the show will be simulcast on NBC and the Peacock streaming service, delivering a premium live event-calibre experience in a condensed format.

The event, taking place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, promises a star-studded lineup. Highlighted matches include Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens, Gunther putting the World Heavyweight Title on the line against Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan taking on Iyo Sky for the Women’s World Title.

While WWE aims to deliver content typical of its major premium live events, the two-hour runtime ensures a tighter, more action-packed presentation compared to full-length shows like WrestleMania or SummerSlam. Saturday Night’s Main Event will now serve as a quarterly special on NBC. The next instalment has already been announced for January 25th, 2025, at the Frost Bank Centre in San Antonio, Texas—just one week ahead of the Royal Rumble.

Originally a staple of the company’s programming in the 1980s and 1990s, Saturday Night’s Main Event was known for bringing major storylines and marquee matchups to network television.
